SUMMARY:Round table: Saint Michael's sacred line
DESCRIPTION:Saint Michael’s sacred line: a mysterious path linking 7 sites dedicated to the archangel\n\n\n\nAs part of the 7th “Des chemins et des hommes” cycle\, a roundtable (with photo projection) moderated by Frédéric Rochet\, director of Forum104. \n\nThe “line of St. Michael” is an alignment of seven sites dedicated to the archangel\, from Skellig Michael (Ireland) to Mount Carmel (Israel)\, via St Michael’s Mount (England)\, Mont-Saint-Michel (Normandy)\, Sacra di San Michele (Italy)\, Monte san Angelo (Italy) and Symi (Greece). It is said to symbolize the sword blow the archangel dealt the devil to send him to hell. Éric Georgelin and Morgane Le Moelle\, who have just walked it\, came back transformed. \n\n\nÉric Georgelin\, a former industrial executive\, discovered the pilgrim’s way of life when he set out from Nantes to Geneva via Vézelay. With a passion for history and a thirst for the sacred\, he started the Saint-Michel line in both directions\, on two different itineraries. He is the author of Thank you for existing! 40-day getaway from Nantes to Geneva (self-published\, 2018).\n\n\n \n\n\nMorgane Le Moelle\, a therapist\, is an avid walker: she has completed the Camins de Saint-Jacques\, the Tour de Bretagne\, the Chemin de Stevenson and the Loire. In 2023-2024\, she covered almost 5\,000 kilometers on foot along the Saint-Michel route. She is the author of Compostelle. An inner journey (À cœur vaillant\, 2021).\n\n\nAt the end of the round table: \n\n\nA glass of friendship\n\n\n\nAuthors’ signing session\n\n\n\nOrganizers’ stands

Un chemin de\nCompostelle (Steinkis\, 2023) \n\nAt the end of the round table : \n\n Authors’ signing session\n Organizers’ stands\n A glass of friendship\n\nVenue: Forum104 (104\, rue de Vaugirard – 75006 Paris) \nOrganized by the weekly Le Pèlerin\, Compostelle 2000\, the Société française des Amis de Saint-Jacques and Forum104\, in\npartnership with La Procure\, the Fédération française de la randonnée pédestre and the Notre-Dame-des-Anges chapel\, as part of the\ncycle “Des chemins et des hommes”.

SUMMARY:Round table - Why set out on a journey?
DESCRIPTION:As part of the “Des chemins et des hommes” 2022/2023 cycle\n\nA round-table discussion with Gilles Donada\, Marie-Édith Laval and Rémy Oudghiri\,\nmoderated by Frédéric Rochet\, Director of Forum104 \nTo the question “Why set out on a journey?”\, pilgrims give a wide variety of answers: the passage of a milestone\, the desire to take a break\, reconnecting with nature\, spiritual motivations\, and so on. \nGilles Donada (who has walked the Tours Way and the Arles Way to Compostela\, the Saint-Gilles Way\, the Way of Saint Ignatius Loyola and the Way of Saint Regis) and Marie-Edith Laval (Chemin de Compostelle\, Pilgrimage of the 88 Temples of Shikoku\, Way of Assisi\, Di qui passo Francesco\, Via francigena\, Stevenson Way) will describe the different reasons that led them to take to the road. \nAs for Rémy Oudghiri\, who explores ways of preserving one’s singularity in an increasingly uniform and technological world\, he will explain why he likes to walk aimlessly\, a practice to which he has dedicated his latest book. \nThis evening will be an opportunity for everyone to reflect on their own approach. \nThe Round Table will be followed by a book signing and a visit to the stands of the four organizing structures\naround a friendly drink. \n\nGilles Donada is a journalist in the religion department of La Croix\, where he is notably the author of “Voies de la prière”\, the podcast on the inner life. For several years\, he ran the Blog du marcheur for the weekly Le Pèlerin. \nMarie-Édith Laval is a speech therapist\, sophrologist and mindfulness meditation instructor. She also has a passion for traveling and walking. She is the author of Comme une feuille de thé à Shikoku (Le Passeur Éditeur\, 2015; Le Livre de poche\, 2016)\, in which she shares her adventure on Japan’s longest sacred path. \nRémy Oudghiri is a sociologist\, director of Sociovision and writer. He is the author of Petit éloge de la fuite hors du monde (Arléa\, 2017) and La société très secrète des marcheurs solitaires (PUF\, 2022). \nWith regard to the health situation\, the rules of social distancing and other rules in force at the time of the conference will be applied. \n\nReservations are recommended. SUMMARY:Videoconference "Overcoming hardship on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela
DESCRIPTION:As part of the “Des chemins et des hommes” cycle\, season 2022\nA videoconference with Hervé de Lantivy and Alain Soleilhac\n(hosted by Margaux Assier de Pompignan and Gaële de La Brosse\, journalists with the weekly Le Pèlerin) \nOvercoming a challenge on the roads to Santiago de Compostela\nFor many pilgrims\, the roads to Santiago de Compostela are an invitation to overcome life’s trials and tribulations. It was in this spirit that one-legged Hervé de Lantivy and visually-impaired Alain Soleilhac set off on their pilgrimage. \nLast March\, Hervé de Lantivy set off from Sainte-Anne-d’Auray (Morbihan) to walk to Santiago de Compostela. His motivation? A vow taken on the operating table\, before losing his left leg. \nAs for Alain Soleilhac\, even though his eyesight was deteriorating further\, he completed the Puy-en-Velay route and the Camino francés in tandem\, with two team-mates. \nTwo magnificent stories that these pilgrims will be happy to share with us\, along with a few photos from their journey. Then they’ll be answering live questions from Internet users. \nThe evening will also be devoted to solidarity initiatives proposed by various associations (notably the Compostelle 2000 pilgrimage for PRMs / Pilgrims with Reduced Mobility\, and the accompaniment of visually impaired people by the Société française des Amis de Saint-Jacques). \n  \nViewing link (without reservation and free of charge\, accessible even to those who are not registered on Facebook):\nhttps://www.facebook.com/LePelerin.Hebdo \nOrganized by the weekly Le Pèlerin\, Compostelle 2000\, the Société française des Amis de Saint-Jacques and Forum104 (as part of the “Des chemins et des hommes” cycle). \nFor further information\, please contact \nE-mail: communicationlepelerin@groupebayard.com \nTel. SUMMARY:Conference Live FB " La Via arverna\, un nouveau chemin vers Compostelle " Claire Colette
DESCRIPTION:“The Via arverna\, a new route to Compostela\nAs part of the “Des chemins et des hommes” cycle\, a videoconference with Claire Colette on Friday\, March 4\, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.\nClaire Colette walked the “Via Averna” from Clermont-Ferrand to Cahors in autumn\, and has written about it in her account\, “Marcher à cœur ouvert”\, de l’Auvergne vers Compostelle (Salvator\, 2021). \nAlong the way\, she experienced the vagaries of harsh weather\, but also savored moments of gentleness\, dazzling landscapes and warm encounters. The tête-à-tête with this little-known path invited her to discover her own “inner land”. She will share this open-hearted journey with us.\nThis videoconference will be hosted by Cécile Picco and Gaële de La Brosse\, journalists with Le Pèlerin. \nClaire Colette lives in the Belgian Ardennes. A retired social worker and sociologist\, she runs workshops on preparing for long-distance walking and encounters with nature\, as well as on the spirituality of the path. \nShe is the author of the books Compostelle:\nLa saveur du chemin (Academia\, 2015) and Marcher à cœur ouvert\, de l’Auvergne vers Compostelle (Salvator\, 2021). \nViewing link free of charge\, even for those who are not registered on Facebook \nInformation : E-mail: communicationlepelerin@bayard-presse.com

SUMMARY:Concert-testimony by Emmanuel Mancuso: From Franz Liszt's years of pilgrimage to the roads to Compostela
DESCRIPTION:Emmanuel Mancuso has two passions: the piano and the roads to Santiago de Compostela. \nHe walked all the way to Compostela to raise funds for the“Imagine for Margo” and“Petits Princes” associations\, dedicated to children with cancer. \nDuring this evening\, the pilgrim pianist will combine these two experiences: \n\nhe will perform pieces from Franz Liszt’s“Années de pèlerinage“\, describing the landscapes and emotions that inspired them;\nand he will talk about his own pilgrimages on the roads to Santiago de Compostela (the Puy-en-Velay route and the Tours route).\n\n[Emmanuel Mancuso learnt to play the piano at the age of 8. He went on to perfect his musical training at the Paris Conservatoire. He has won several prizes in piano competitions]. \nThe evening will take place in the Notre-Dame-des-Anges chapel at Forum 104. \nTo register \n
