DESCRIPTION:Saint Michael’s sacred line: a mysterious path linking 7 sites dedicated to the archangel\n\n\n\nAs part of the 7th “Des chemins et des hommes” cycle\, a roundtable (with photo projection) moderated by Frédéric Rochet\, director of Forum104. \n\nThe “line of St. Michael” is an alignment of seven sites dedicated to the archangel\, from Skellig Michael (Ireland) to Mount Carmel (Israel)\, via St Michael’s Mount (England)\, Mont-Saint-Michel (Normandy)\, Sacra di San Michele (Italy)\, Monte san Angelo (Italy) and Symi (Greece). It is said to symbolize the sword blow the archangel dealt the devil to send him to hell. Éric Georgelin and Morgane Le Moelle\, who have just walked it\, came back transformed.   \n\n\nÉric Georgelin\, a former industrial executive\, discovered the pilgrim’s way of life when he set out from Nantes to Geneva via Vézelay. With a passion for history and a thirst for the sacred\, he started the Saint-Michel line in both directions\, on two different itineraries.   He is the author of  Thank you for existing! 40-day getaway from Nantes to Geneva   (self-published\, 2018).\n\n\n \n\n\nMorgane Le Moelle\, a therapist\, is an avid walker: she has completed the Camins de Saint-Jacques\, the Tour de Bretagne\, the Chemin de Stevenson and the Loire. In 2023-2024\, she covered almost 5\,000 kilometers on foot along the Saint-Michel route.   She is the author of  Compostelle. DESCRIPTION:From Breuillet to Breuillet via St Sulpice de Favières\n18km walk at a pace of 4km/hour organized by Régis.\n\nMeet at Gare d’Austerlitz on the RER C platform (direction Dourdan) at 8:30am – Line P – direction Château Thierry.\n\n\nDeparture at 8.45 a.m. – Arrival at Breuillet Village at 9.34 a.m.\n\nReturn by RER C from Breuillet Village station at 4.22pm\, arriving at Gare d’Austerlitz at 5.13pm (RER train every 1/2 hour).\n\nWe’ll head for Saint Sulpice de Favières on the GR 1\, then down to Les Emondants on a PR trail\, before heading west to Souzy-la-Briche and the commune of Breux-Jouy\, before returning to the Breuillet station.\n\n\nRegister with Régis Kaldy by SMS on 06 17 50 17 56 between March 1 and 5 only.\n\nPlease leave your full name and membership number.\n\nGroup limited to 25 people. DESCRIPTION:From Versailles to Gif sur Yvette across the Saclay plateau\n21km walk at a pace of 4km/hour organized by Blandine.\n\nThe meeting point is at Versailles Chantier station in the main hall at 9.25 am\, with departure by 9.40 am.\n\nPossibility of coming by RER C\, train VACK arrives at 9:25 a.m. and leaves Les Invalides at 8:13 a.m.\nYou can also take the U line\, which departs from La Défense at 9:15 a.m. and arrives at Versailles Chantiers at 9:36 a.m. \n\nReturn by RER B from Gif Sur Yvette station\n\nWe descend through the woods to the Etang de la Geneste and a stretch of the Bièvre.\nWe then climb back up on a GR to skirt part of the Saclay plateau.\nThen we’ll head back down to the Merantaise valley before taking the RER B to Gif Sur Yvette.\n\n\nRegister with Blandine Beaudoin by SMS on 06 83 44 87 12 between March 18 and 22\nPlease leave your full name and membership number.\nGroup limited to 25 people.
