DESCRIPTION:From Marles en Brie to Verneuil l’Etang – 12th stage of the GR1\n18 km walk organized by Patrick and Annie at a pace of 4 km per hour \nRDV Gare de l’Est at 8 a.m.\, direction Coulommiers\, Train departs at 8.17 a.m.\, Arrival in Marles en Brie at 9.17 a.m. \nDeparture from Marles en Brie station along narrow lanes towards Fontenay Trésigny and its Royal Château du Vivier. \nAfter a picnic lunch\, we’ll head back to Verneuil l’Etang to catch the train. \nRETURN via Verneuil station to GARE De  East. DESCRIPTION:Walking: Loop around Dourdan\n19 km walk organized by Blandine at a pace of 4 km/h.\n \n\n\nMeet at 8:30 am on the RER C platform at Gare d’Austerlitz for an 8:45 am departure of the DEBA train\, arriving at Dourdan at 9:48 am.\n \n\nForest walk to Ste Mesme. DESCRIPTION:Montrouge – Mission 2024 CongressHow can we bring the Gospel to today’s society?\n\nDates to remember: September 28 and 29\, 2024 Montrouge\n\nAs part of the Mission 2024 Congress\, the parish of Montrouge organizes a gathering of thousands of Christians once a year to reflect on the ever-new question: “How can we propose the Gospel to today’s society?”.   \n\nFor further information\,visit the website of the Church of Saint James the Greater.  \n\nThe parish of Saint Jacques le Majeur in Montrouge has planned 2 days of events. \n\nSFASJC will be taking part in this event with a stand: \n\n\n  present the role played by the Société Française in the revival of pilgrimage\,  \n\n\n\npresent the Chemins de Saint de Saint-Jacques and share pilgrim testimonials  \n\n\n\ngather feedback.\n\n\nSaturday\, September 28 program \n\nLocation: Institut Notre Dame Place de la Mairie Montrouge \n\n\n3 pm – 6 pm: Welcome at the SFASJC stand on the theme “Future Pilgrims”.\n\n\nSunday\, September 29 program:Location: Église Saint Jacques Le Majeur\, Place de la Mairie \n\n\n10H30 Back-to-school mass  \n\n\n\n12:00 Laying of the commemorative plaque of Saint James the Greater* at the entrance to the church\, donated by the SFASJC\, in the presence of Patrice Jacques Bernard\, President and Father Marc Ketterer.\n\n\n\n12:30 Aperitif on the church forecourt.\n\n\n*Following Montrouge’s “Fête de la Coquille” pilgrimage days at the end of April\, the Société Française des Amis de Saint Jacques de Compostelle\, which had been associated with the event\, wished to consolidate and develop the relationship established on this occasion with the church of Saint Jacques le Majeur\, represented by Father Marc Ketterer.   \n\nThe Société Française has asked graphic designer Jacques Le Ribault and parishioner and Sfasjc member François Bourdeaux to design a commemorative plaque. The plaque will be affixed at the end of the new year’s mass at Saint Jacques le Majeur Church on Sunday September 29 at 12 noon\, in the presence of Father Marc Ketterer and Patrice Jacques Marie Bernard\, President of the Société Française des Amis de Saint Jacques de Compostelle.    \n\nThis event will be followed by an aperitif on the church forecourt at 12:30 pm.

DESCRIPTION:Return weekend for all members who have been to Santiago or those who have walked for a long time.\nThe French Society of Friends of Santiago de Compostela is organizing a weekend for those wishing to share their experiences of walking and/or arriving in Santiago.\n\nThis weekend will take place on October 26 and 27\, 2024 at the Armeau vacation village in the Yonne valley.\n\nOn the program:\n\n 	a time for sharing and reflection\,\n 	a walk in the surrounding countryside\,\n 	a lecture by Jean Claude Benazet on the theme of the hanged man\,\n 	a visit to the church of Villeneuve sur Yonne (5 km from Armeau) with Bernard Brousse\, an outstanding lecturer.\n\nThe cost of this weekend: €120 for accommodation (meals on Saturday lunchtime\, Saturday evening\, breakfast and lunch on Sunday lunchtime\, overnight stay in a 2-bed room with full private bathroom facilities\, beds made up on arrival).
