2025 award for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela

The Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle (French Society of Friends of Santiago de Compostela) invites all those returning from Santiago with the Compostela to make a request.

According to statistics from the Pilgrims’ Office in Santiago, few French people make the journey to Santiago compared with other nationalities. But you’ve walked the road to Compostela, and in some cases, after many years, you’ve reached your goal: Santiago.

You have returned with the Compostela, which symbolizes your experience of these days of backpacking, and recalls your emotion on arrival at the Plaça del Obradorio.
To salute this achievement, the Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle decided a few years ago to award its Distinction Jacquaire to anyone returning from Santiago with the Compostela.

These pilgrims will receive their nominative Distinction Jacquaire at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
The presentation of the Distinction Jacquaire will henceforth take place during the Annual General Meeting, which, in addition to its statutory role, is a valuable opportunity for all members of the Société Française to meet, debate and share ideas
