Membership, credencial
Joining an association is a voluntary act. It means that you have read the association’s bylaws and that you adhere to its principles.
Membership of the Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle implies recognition of its aims and a desire to play an active part in them.
A member of the Société des Amis de Saint-Jacques is not a “customer” of the organization. He/she undertakes to :
- attend Annual General Meetings when convened
- contribute to the life of the association through annual dues
- put your knowledge and skills to work for the association
- give a little of his time, when he can, either as a receptionist or as a hospice worker
- promote and safeguard the Jacobean heritage wherever it is found
- and above all maintain the spirit of the pilgrimage.

The member receives :
- sa credencial
- his “Dossier du Pèlerin
- a list of B&Bs along the chosen route
- the newsletter L’Écho des Chemins de Saint-Jacques
- information on the Company’s various activities.
