Projet Paris Centre: Restoring paintings in 2 churches and tracing the Compostelle route

The project includes the renovation of 2 chapels in the church of St-Gervais and the painted decorations in the church of St-Merri (4th arrondissement), as well as the materialization on the ground of the Chemin de Compostelle, passing near the Tour St-Jacques (4th arrondissement).
More specifically, the project concerns
:- restoration of the mural paintings in the north chapels of the Saint-Gervais church (which
require priority attention);
– renovation of the large painted canvases in the St-Jacques chapel and the painted walls of the St-François-Xavier chapel in the Saint-Merri church, also urgently required;
– and finally, the marking of the Chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, which follows the rue Saint-Martin, runs alongside the Tour Saint-Jacques, crosses the Seine and takes the rue de la Cité. In Paris, these markings would complement those already in place at Parc de la Villette and in the 5th and 14th arrondissements.
Parisian pilgrims have until September 27 to support this project. Spread the word.
