Walk: From Villennes sur Seine to Vaux sur Seine

From Villennes sur Seine to Vaux sur Seine: 20 km

Departure from Gare Saint Lazare, direction Mantes La Jolie, train J at 9:15 am, meet at the beginning of the platform at 8:45 am, arrival at Villennes/ Seine.

Return from Vaux sur Seine at 5.45pm, arriving at Gare Saint Lazare at 6.30pm.

At the station exit, we’ll climb the steps, continue uphill, then cross fields and a small wood.

Arriving in Vernouillet, we see a beautiful church, Saint Etienne, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries.

Picnic at the Gallardon ponds, with a view of greylag geese.

We continue on our way, crossing the 1841 Goat Bridge, once a toll bridge,

then cross the Seine on a suspension bridge to Vaux sur Seine.
