From Verneuil l’Etang to St Germain-Laxis – 13th stage of the GR1

24 km walk organized by Patrick at a pace of 4 km per hour

RDV Gare de l’Est 8:25 am for a train departs at 8.47am for Provins, getting off at Verneuil l’Etang.

From Verneuil l’Etang, we’ll head for the Château de Vernouillet, built around 1720, then on to Champeaux and its 12th-century Collégiale Saint-Martin.

3 km after the picnic, we head for Blandy-les-tours and its 14th & 15th century château-fort. After a further 7 km, we’ll arrive at Saint-Germain-Laxis via a number of narrow lanes.

Return by bus from St Germain-Laxis to Melun (4:26 p.m. or 5:26 p.m.), then from Melun to Paris by train or RER – trains every 1/2 hour
