General meeting of Compostelle Bretagne

Anne-Marie Podesta, our vice-president, represented the Société Française des Amis de Saint Jacques de Compostelle on March 8 at the General Meeting of this dynamic association, which has almost 2,200 members in the five departments of Brittany.
The 5 departments and 4 commissions presented their varied activities, supported by teams of committed volunteers skilled in their fields
(IT, communications, heritage, walking yoga, choir, etc.).
The “Jakez d’honneur” was awarded to members who have made a particular contribution to the association, which also awards the “Jakezsteka” to pilgrims in the same way as our Pilgrim’s Diploma.
Panels from the De Bretagne en Galice exhibition were on display, Compostelle Bretagne having received the Elias Valinas prize in 2024 for its work in support of the pilgrimage.
To round off the day, the theater troupe humorously illustrated the adventures of a pilgrims’ reception desk.
