September – A word from the Chairman
O CEBREIRO August 19, 2022
Dear friends
Sitting that day in this unforgettable, almost empty and silent chapel, I thought of all those who walk to
Santiago, whatever their motivation.
And as my mind wandered, I thought of another place: the (inspired) hill of Sion-Vaudémont, a major pilgrimage site
for centuries, dear to one of our great writers, the hill where the spirit blows.
This is what inhabits some of us as we walk towards Santiago and encounter the spirit of a spiritual path.
This idea, as I’ve noticed during meetings in France and Spain, is increasingly present in the reflections and exchanges
of those who regret contemporary aspects of the path, be they sporting or otherwise.
But everyone has their place along the way.
It’s up to our associations, each with its own sensibility and purpose,
to accompany future “pilgrims”, who alone can “feel” their CAMINO within themselves.
Happy back-to-school
