A round-table discussion with Gilles Donada, Marie-Édith Laval and Rémy Oudghiri,
moderated by Frédéric Rochet, Director of Forum104
To the question “Why set out on a journey?”, pilgrims give a wide variety of answers: the passage of a milestone, the desire to take a break, reconnecting with nature, spiritual motivations, and so on.
Gilles Donada (who has walked the Tours Way and the Arles Way to Compostela, the Saint-Gilles Way, the Way of Saint Ignatius Loyola and the Way of Saint Regis) and Marie-Edith Laval (Chemin de Compostelle, Pilgrimage of the 88 Temples of Shikoku, Way of Assisi, Di qui passo Francesco, Via francigena, Stevenson Way) will describe the different reasons that led them to take to the road.
As for Rémy Oudghiri, who explores ways of preserving one’s singularity in an increasingly uniform and technological world, he will explain why he likes to walk aimlessly, a practice to which he has dedicated his latest book.
This evening will be an opportunity for everyone to reflect on their own approach.
The Round Table will be followed by a book signing and a visit to the stands of the four organizing structures
around a friendly drink.
