Founded in 1950, the Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle was the first Saint-Jacques association in modern times. It is part of a large network of associations dedicated to providing information and promoting the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago.

Founded in 1970, the Centre d’Etudes Compostellanes brings together French and foreign researchers wishing to work on the theme of the Compostela pilgrimage.

Founded in France in 1994 in the cathedral of Notre Dame Chartres, the Confrérie de Saint-Jacques aims to bring together in spiritual brotherhood all those who have made the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
