The joint letter

Joint letter extended to neighbors…

Our joint letter to the three major structures bringing together pilgrims and randonneurs on the French Chemins de Saint Jacques has taken off and is now open to our friends across the border… Société Française des Amis de
Saint Jacques, Webcompostella, FFACC, Compostelle-France, our German neighbors with a text by Manfred, our Spanish neighbours with a text by Jorge and our Dutch neighbours with a text by Peter…

Annie Cardinet,President FFACC Compostelle-France

And now comes the long-awaited feast of Saint James in a Holy Year! With the health regulations and the various forms of restrictions we have experienced and are still experiencing, it’s not possible to hold major events…
So the idea came up to ask our European friends to join us in a joint letter, with the accents of Europa Compostella.
Very quickly, positive responses came in, but some are on the Way, others with their families far from a computer, which doesn’t prevent them from being with us in this fraternal effort to mark this special year.

Annie Cardinet, of the Fédération Française des Associations des Chemins de Saint-Jacques,
Daniel Ragot, of Webcompostella, and Patrice Bernard, of the Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, are sending this 4th joint letter to all their members, a sign of the new spirit of fraternity that is blowing
among those involved in the world of Santiago de Compostela in France today.

L’Echo des Chemins

All members of the Société Française des Amis de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle receive, once or twice a year, the newsletter L’Écho des Chemins de Saint-Jacques which provides information on :

  • Company life (reception, conferences, library, walks, meetings with French and foreign associations…)
  • Various testimonials in the form of contributions
  • The life of the Chemin (new paths, new gîtes, good addresses…)
  • Events organized around the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela (meetings, exhibitions, films, symposia, philately, monument inaugurations, etc.).
  • Reading notes on recent works
  • and sometimes, alas, a reminder of those who have left us
