Our Europe faces the challenge of knowing which direction to take. To do this, it needs not only talent and creativitý but also the nourishment of its own roots.
In the city of the Apostle Saint James, many nationalities and cultures come together to form the great family of Compostela pilgrims. These differences in language do not imply a barrier to communication, but on the contrary, they form a harmonious architecture from which peace can spring for all nations. The Way of St. James offers the opportunity to live together and share, without fear, with those who are different. In Santiago, we see that all cultures are called upon to open up to one another, without losing their nuances, and that every human being can recognize in his fellow man, in the stranger or the unknown, his neighbor and his “universal brother”.
