June: a word from the president – Anniversary festivities

Dear members,
Dear friends, dear friends,
The CAMINO revives
Information gathered in France and Spain indicates that the number of pilgrims will be high this year, while there has been a shift in the choice of paths.
It appears that the Camino Francès is losing many pilgrims, while the Portuguese, Northern and Primitive paths are seeing an increase in numbers, especially in Portugal.
The Astorga association has created the Federation of the Camino Francès this year, to defend and promote it in particular. Its President, Juan Carlos Peréz Cabezas, came to Rue Jean Bart to present his project and to associate us with it.
A project for a European Union of Jacobean associations is also being set up, and our association will be an active founding member. I am convinced that we have a special role to play in these undertakings, which bring us closer together in these more than difficult times. All this is done in a spirit of trust between us
I hope to see you on the roads, and in the meantime, don’t forget to book for our big day on Sunday June 12.
Yours faithfully
Patrice Jacques Marie Bernard
Chairman
