Concert-testimony by Emmanuel Mancuso: From Franz Liszt’s years of pilgrimage to the roads to Compostela

Emmanuel Mancuso has two passions: the piano and the roads to Santiago de Compostela.

He walked all the way to Compostela to raise funds for the“Imagine for Margo” and“Petits Princes” associations, dedicated to children with cancer.

During this evening, the pilgrim pianist will combine these two experiences:

• he will perform pieces from Franz Liszt’s“Années de pèlerinage“, describing the landscapes and emotions that inspired them;
• and he will talk about his own pilgrimages on the roads to Santiago de Compostela (the Puy-en-Velay route and the Tours route).

[Emmanuel Mancuso learnt to play the piano at the age of 8. He went on to perfect his musical training at the Paris Conservatoire. He has won several prizes in piano competitions].

The evening will take place in the Notre-Dame-des-Anges chapel at Forum 104.
