Special evening on the Tro Breiz
Videoconference with Philippe Abjean, Ronan Pérennou, Bertrand and Maryse de Kérimel and Hervé Poëns (moderated by Cécile Picco and Gaële de La Brosse, journalists with the weekly Le Pèlerin)
Co-organized by: Le Pèlerin, Forum104, Société des Amis de Saint-Jacques, Compostelle 2000.
The Tro Breiz, the tour of Brittany that links the seven ancient bishoprics, offers pilgrims a wide range of possibilities: you can make this pilgrimage as an individual or in a group, or walk the whole route or parts of it. Five speakers will discuss the different facets of the pilgrimage, with a wealth of illustrations: history and current events (Philippe Abjean), the adventure of hospitality (Ronan Pérennou), pilgrimage to celebrate a wedding anniversary (Bertrand and Maryse de Kérimel) or to mourn the loss of a child (Hervé Poëns). These pilgrims will also offer practical advice for future trobreiziens.
Philippe Abjean is president of the association Les chemins du Tro Breiz and author of the book Un rêve de pierre. Du Tro Breiz à la vallée des saints (Salvator, 2020); Ronan Pérennou walks a section of the route each year with young people, and welcomes pilgrims to Bodélio (Finistère); Bertrand and Maryse de Kérimel, retired, walked the Tro Breiz to celebrate 50 years of marriage; Hervé Poëns, who made the pilgrimage after the death of his child, is the author of Tro-Breiz thérapie. Pèlerinage en terre bretonne (self-published, 2018).
