Theme of next year’s spiritual preparation: A Way of Faith.

It will be hosted by Father Patrice Sonnier on February 25, 2023 at 11am at 8 bis rue Jean Bart.

The purpose of faith is to recognize God himself as the foundation of all reality since the foundation of the world. This doesn’t mean that it’s not up to each individual to walk the path towards this encounter. It is not an obstacle. On the contrary, it awakens true freedom. It does not rule out the doubts that arise at every crossroads.

It commits you to accepting, despite the contradictions, the cross that is the very nature of your reality. Not nailed to it as a fatal destiny to be resigned to, but rather freely surrendering to it, as Jesus did.

Faith is a certainty that matures in risk…It’s God’s call at our door, and it requires immense courage on our part to open it, to introduce it into our personal history and allow ourselves to be led towards its vocation.”
